Josh Pan and X&G Question If We Are Going “Nowhere” in 2017

by Evan Holden 2 years ago

Josh Pan has some intriguing thoughts on current events and he’d like you to see them too. Teaming up with X&G, Josh has teased his new work “Nowhere” with quite the thought provoking prelude. Including a VR headset, looping images, and a journeyed backwards descent through a cave, this build up is raising a lot of questions.

It’s 2017 and life itself seems to be moving backwards – Josh Pan

There is no doubt thoughts like this are wracking through the brains of many across our country and across the world. As we are taken on that backwards descent, in the prelude and possibly in reality, the video presented hints at a tried philosophical piece of work. The video matches Plato’s allegory of the cave, and its relevance to modern media. Stirring up anti-establishment emotions, Pan’s vocals also allude to activism in music seen throughout the years. Pan himself gave thoughts,

Nowhere’ is that breath of compassion and reassurance that we’re going to get through this – it’s a reminder that enough is enough.

Coming straight to you from OWSLA records, this overture is building up to an already tantalizing release. You can find the “Nowhere” (prelude) video here:
